This site was put together to showcase the local businesses in and around the Compass area. Some of the residents of Compass are “Plain Folks” and don’t use computers or electricity but they have businesses and they would like to have a way to let people know what they have to offer. That is where this web site comes in, it is a place for local businesses to inform the surfing public what is available to them in “downtown” Compass.

Even though Compass is in Chester County, it looks and feels more like Lancaster County (which is only a stones throw away). Many of the buildings are over 150 years old and some are approaching 250 and beyond. Compass is at the intersection of one of the earliest roads in America and an old Indian trail. The Kings highway went from Philadelphia to Lancaster (the oldest inland city) and the Indian trail came down from the Welsh mountains to the Chesapeake.
